Built by people who watched clinicians lose afternoons to data archaeology
Amilis came out of repeated conversations with embryologists who were spending more time reconstructing patient histories than using them.
The problem was the same in every clinic we visited
Sarita Stefani spent years building data tools for reproductive health organisations. In that time she observed the same pattern in clinic after clinic: embryologists and fertility consultants arriving at a consultation armed with a spreadsheet, a PDF export from the laboratory, and a PACS folder URL written on a sticky note. The picture they needed was distributed across three systems that had never been designed to talk to each other.
The preparation time was not incidental. In busy clinics, clinicians were starting their working day by reconstructing patient histories on paper before the first patient arrived. This was not a corner case. It was routine.
Amilis was built with embryologists as co-designers, not as beta testers brought in at the end. The timeline view reflects what those clinicians said they needed: cycle phase as the primary axis, lab values plotted on the same date scale, imaging events as clickable markers. No diagnostic interpretation, no alerts, no AI recommendations. Just the picture, assembled.
The team
Sarita Stefani
CEO & Co-Founder
Years spent building data tools for reproductive health systems gave Sarita a detailed understanding of the gap between how clinical records are created and how clinicians need to read them. She built Amilis to close that gap specifically for fertility practices, starting with the consultation preparation problem she had seen repeatedly in the field.
Marcus Weil
CTO & Co-Founder
Marcus has spent his career in clinical data infrastructure, including work on HL7/FHIR integration patterns and audit-grade data pipelines for regulated health environments. He designed Amilis's import architecture to work with the real-world messiness of clinic data exports, not idealised formats.
Priya Nair
Head of Clinical Operations
As a trained fertility nurse consultant, Priya brings direct clinic operations experience to every product decision. She bridges the clinical workflow requirements that practitioners actually have and what the product delivers, and leads the early-access programme with each clinic partner.
We are currently working with a small group of clinics
Amilis is at an early stage. We are working closely with a small number of UK fertility clinics to refine the platform before a wider rollout. If your clinic has a patient records fragmentation problem and you would like to be involved, we would like to hear from you.
